Hello! Thank you for your interest in a doll commission <3 Below you will find answers to some commonly asked questions, as well as more information about the commission process.

I try my best to open commissions a few times a year, depending on my schedule and current workload. Each time it is open, I will accept submissions for your doll designs, and then select a few to work on. I choose projects based on my interest as well as how well I think I can execute it. I may waitlist your submission if it is something I would like to do at a later time.

I always post on social media (instagram & tiktok) a week or so beforehand to let you know the date and time that I will reopen them. In the future I will also update my website and send out a newsletter in advance.

I apologize if you would like a doll but are unable to get a commission slot, as I know many of you miss the opportunity. I really wish I can make a doll for everyone! I put a lot of love and care into each of my dolls, and this is the way that works for me at this time. Thank you for your understanding!

Commissions start at €700 euros (not including shipping or taxes/customs). Please note that as of right now all my dolls are customized on a factory (fake) Blythe base. I haven't worked on an authentic doll yet but it could be an option in the future.

These dolls are made out of plastic, and are about 30 centimeters tall (just short of 12 inches).

Customizations included at this price point:

Custom carved face (a sculpted eye shape where extra epoxy is needed is an additional add-on)
Sleepy eyes and beaded pull strings - your doll will have two custom beaded strings, one to open and one to close the eyes.
Gaze correction to make the eyes look upwards.
New neck joint
New lashes
4 handmade glass or resin eyechips.
Makeup done with high quality pastels/pigments/watercolor pencils/gouache, and sealed with multiple layers of Mr. Super Clear matte/gloss and Liquitex varnish.
Knee joint strengthened.
Hair washed and cut/styled
Custom art and signature on backplate.

Included little things:

Handmade outfit #1: An outfit that we design and make based on your mood board/ideas. It can be a dress or top/bottom, plus an accessory piece (such as corset, collar, vest, or layered top). If your outfit idea is very intricate or has multiple pieces then added charges may apply (see below for pricing).
Handmade outfit #2: The second outfit will be a basic outfit of my choosing. It could be a basic dress or top and bottom combo. You have the option of upgrading this outfit to be a design of your choice. (see below for pricing)
Socks and underwear
Handmade leather boots (or different shoes based on her outfit)
Handmade leather or cloth purse
Handmade pillow
Leather doll journal
Doll stand
Extra hand gestures
Extra accessories that we've discussed or of my choosing based on supplies and availability.

Additional Customizations:

Custom sculpted eye shape with epoxy/resin: €80
Body blushing (including all hands) can include minor beauty marks/freckles: €50
Tattoos or other hand drawn body detail: €25-100 depending on quantity/size/coverage
Ears attached with putty: price of the supplies + €10 for blushing and installation
Different body type: Cost of the supplies + shipping
Wig: price of supplies + €15 installation fee

I try to sew/make everything myself using natural fabrics and leather, but there are some items that may need to be sourced. I generally won't charge extra for these items since it offsets the time I would spend sewing.

Clothing upgrades and extra outfits + accessories:

The costs of outfits and pieces can vary depending on how detailed or intricate they are to make. This will be up to my discretion and will discuss it together.

Outfit upgrade: You can upgrade your second outfit to be of your choosing, and it will include a dress or top/bottom combo, with an extra little garment or accessory (such as corset, vest, layered top, headwear, etc) - €50
Additional outfit: €50-100 based on complexity and number of garments/items. For example, on the low end is a simple linen dress, and the higher end will have several more complex elements, speciality fabrics, and/or accessories.
Handmade oversized leather jacket with metal detailing: €80
Outerwear (coat or jacket): €35-60
Extra clothing items we source from elsewhere: price depending on cost of supplies + shipping

When my commissions are open, I will review submissions over the course of a week or so and contact you if I would like to work on your doll. Please keep in mind I may be unable to respond to all inquires.

My process then goes as follows:

€350 (or half the cost of the doll) is paid upfront and is generally nonrefundable. The remainder of the cost is paid after the doll is done. If additional costs accrue then it must be paid before the doll is shipped. If you want to pay all at once or need a payment plan please discuss it with me :)
Design phase - we discuss your doll in detail and decide on her carving, face-up, clothing, and accessories. If necessary, I will sketch out mockups of the face or clothing to help us visualize ideas.
Carving phase - I will carve the doll's face and send you updates along the way. I will confirm the final carving before starting the next step, because once we begin the next step, changes cannot be made.
Make-up phase - I will work on your doll's make-up and send you updates along the way. Since the makeup is done in layers, it is generally easy to add on more details, but difficult to remove details from earlier layers. I will confirm the final face-up with you before I seal everything in. Changes to the face after this point will be at extra cost.
Sewing phase - I begin making her clothing and other accessories, and will send updates along the way. When everything is complete I will show you your doll fully assembled :)
The remainder of the balance (plus shipping costs) must be paid before I ship the doll to you.

How I work and how we will communicate together

In general, I am very flexible and open with communication. I like to discuss options and if needed, make changes along the way for a different/better result. For example, how the makeup turns out might determine which eye chips look best. Or sometimes we get more ideas as we go along. You can choose to be as involved or hands off as you would like along the way. Sometimes customers give me the creative freedom to make choices on my own, or they prefer to consider options with me as we go along, or we can decide everything in the beginning and stick to the plan. This is something we can discuss in the beginning stages. Please note: while I welcome discussion in the decision making process, I cannot constantly be in communication or continuously waver back and forth on design choices. It can prolong the completion of your doll.

If you change your mind about something, please let me know as soon as possible! Then I determine whether I am able to make changes. Early changes are usually easy to do, but changes later on may cost a fee. The most important thing for me is that you are happy with your doll so I will try my best <3

Each doll can take 2-3 months to complete, so it is good to begin the process in advance. Sometimes there can be delays based on availability of supplies, or just some processes taking longer than expected. I will try my best to communicate with you if i expect any delays.

Since my commission times are somewhat unpredictable, I apologize in advance if you cannot secure a commission slot in time for a special event.

I'm always so happy to hear when someone loves a particular doll! However, since each doll is handmade and often times customized for a particular person, it can't be easily replicated. Each doll is one of a kind in it's own way :D We can always make a similar doll with your favorite details for inspiration, and personalize it to your liking :)
